Misery Mountain Boys

Friday Aug 29, 6:30-8:30 pm

Come join us for a special outdoor concert evening of toe-tapping 1930’s speakeasy tunes with the Misery Mountain Boys on the lawn of the Harrison Memorial.

Harkening back to a simpler time, the MMB’s create a soundscape infused with tongue in cheek wit, playfulness, and nostalgia. The band’s performance delivers as both classic and fresh, offering a generous variety of sweaty jazz numbers, velvety love songs, and swingin’ jump-blues.

With the release of the Misery Mountain Boys fourth album, Somebody Stole My Peaches (2025), this feisty and focused group continues to establish itself as a top drawer example of a retro-cool roots group. Fuelled by a big bouquet of sounds, some of the group’s musical touchstones have been in the wind for a century, while others are of a homemade variety that have enabled these artists to create a recognizable spin on classic feels.

Bring your dancing shoes and prepare to cut a mean rug!

Peach & Quiet

Sunday Sept 21, 6:30-8:30 pm

Peach & Quiet is the musical duo of Jonny Miller and Heather Read. These sweethearts have been enchanting audiences since they burst onto the music scene in 2020 with their debut album “Just Beyond the Shine” which topped folk/roots music charts in North America and received international acclaim, including a spot on BBC Scotland’s Record of the Week and four Best of the Year lists.

In early 2023, their second album, “Beautiful Thing”, debuted at #3 on national folk charts and remained on the North American charts for over a year. Critics praised the album for its unique combination of 1960s Laurel Canyon nostalgia and contemporary sounds.

Peach & Quiet’s sound is now evolving into a West Coast roots-soul vibe. With new releases scheduled for this summer from renowned producer Daniel Klenner, you’ll be swept away by their irresistible melodies and heartfelt lyrics.

Join us for a soulful and uplifting musical evening …
