La Cafamore Quartet

We are thrilled to welcome back the classical ensemble
La Cafamore to open our spring concert series. Their performance last year ended in standing ovations … we expect no less in 2026!
The theme of this year’s concert is to celebrate the contributions and musical creativity of female composers from different eras. It is a sad fact that many women throughout history were discouraged from a career in music. Fortunatedly, not all were discouraged and La Cafamore has chosen to highlight a trio of female composers whose music is as deep and complex as any of their contemporaries.
The evening’s concert will feature works from Mel Bonis, Louise Viardot and Emilie Mayer by La Cafamore on violin, viola and cello, accompanied by piano and performed in the perfect acoustic environment for this classical instrumentation.
We want to thank our local community for your ongoing support of artConnect performances and events … together we can keep the historical Harrison Memorial as part of our quality of life on the eastshore
Type of Events we host:
- Musical events including classical and modern through recitals, concerts, coffee houses, and workshops
- Literary Arts performances including poetry readings and book introductions and signings
- Art openings and instruction workshops of various media for adults and youth
- Hosting contemplative practises such as, but not limited to, meditation, yoga, healing arts, and mind-body energy disciplines.
- Hosting lectures on topics of special interest such as local history, health and spiritual teachings
