artConnect Theatrical Series presents
The Red Thread
A One Woman show by Ellie Reynolds
Saturday, June 21, 7:00 pm
Harrison Memorial Cultural Centre
16074 Crawford Creek Road, Crawford Bay
Ellie Reynolds creates autobiographical solo theatre with a distinctly Kootenay flair—part myth, part funny memoir, and all heart.
Are the events of your life inevitable? Are you destined—or doomed—to love one person? And how do you get your kids to remember where they put their shoes??!
In The Red Thread, Ellie weaves personal stories with mythic echoes in a search to follow the thread to some answers.
Guided by three mysterious Fate goddesses, she navigates the labyrinth of (increasingly middle) life, untangling the knots of motherhood, marriage, and memory.
From Greek myth to Shakespeare, from North London to Denver to the Kootenays, The Red Thread is a playful, poignant journey through love, loss, and the mingled yarns we spin to make sense of it all.
Tickets: $20.00 Advanced / $25.00 Door

Annual Rummage Sale
Sunday, July 13, 10 – 3 pm
Harrison Memorial Cultural Centre
16074 Crawford Creek Road, Crawford Bay
We are having our annual rummage sale in July this year. Our programming schedule is getting very busy and we actually had trouble fitting this important event in!
So, if you are doing some spring de-cluttering, please save your boxes of unwanted items. They can be dropped off at the Harrison between 4:00 and 6:00 pm each day from Saturday July 5 until Saturday July 12.
Would you like to volunteer to help sort and price rummage on that Saturday morning? Phone or text 250-777-1856. Do you have a truck or van that you can offer, to pick up larger donations? That would be a big help too. Do you have a more valuable item to donate that would be more suitable for a raffle? We will soon be starting ongoing raffles in the entranceway to the Harrison.
Thanks for helping to keep this cultural icon open and running … artConnect is a community resource that depends on your support. Please advantage of our wonderful year-round schedule of music, art, drama and theatre, offered monthly and more.
